The red Moselle wine peach, which is the protagonist in MUNDART's peach and lavender syrup, is something very special. Few fruits are available every year and the old German fruit variety threatens to be forgotten in part. In 2017 there was no harvest even due to the late frost in April. All the more special to capture this more acidic vineyard peach in a unique syrup essence. It is at home on the steep slopes in the midst of the grapevines, where the Moselle meanders in several loops between the cities of Bremm and Cochem. The juice is made very gently, after the fruits have reached their absolute degree of ripeness. Each peach is gutted by hand, so no unpleasant bitter almond flavors are involved. Rather, it creates a fine loveliness by supplementing with lavender flowers from a blue sea of flowers at 1200 m altitude at the foot of Mont Blanc.
