For Everybody's Darling, especially when grilling, this could be Rosé.
We are talking here of a spicy blend of Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Mitos. The expansion took place after the juice extract from the red wine mash in barrique and in the 500 liter wooden barrel, whereby he got a fruity and slightly woody scent. On the palate it tastes a lot of strawberry, yet it is dry, with a fresh length, with style and line. The wood insert fits perfectly with this wine and gives it the direction. Absolutely convincing barbecue wine with its gentle smoke flavors.
Also combines well with tomato pasta and homemade pizza.
Information about the winery: Christian Nett was awarded in 2015 as Germany's best young winegrower and best young winemaker of the Palatinate and says even about his wines. "Every wine, every vintage has its own personality, its individual style, its own history." In 2013, he was even honored in Eichelmann.
In the middle of the Palatinate in Duttweiler, a small wine town between Speyer and Neustadt an der Weinstraße, is the seat of the winery. The foundation stone was already laid in 1838 with the construction of sandstone vaulted cellars. After a divorce in 1900, an adoption and marriage, the winery is now run in fifth generation by the Nett family. At an altitude of 120-140 m above sea level, the vines grow here embedded in an almost Mediterranean landscape, in which also kiwis and figs, almonds and chestnuts ripen. Over ten meters thick soil layers of predominantly loess and loam with fine limestone form the character of these wines.
A gentle and gentle pressing are also included, as well as a long storage on the lees, so that the wines can develop even more complexity and character. In the wine cellar itself rest, patience and restraint, so unfold the wines in all their nuances and facets.
Christian Nett has also been using traditional methods since 2011, as they were already in use at Heinz Heinz Bergdolt-Reif. So some of the best vineyards today are farmed exclusively with horsepower. The floors remain so looser and can breathe better. This benefits the quality of the grapes and ensures characterful wines.
