This is a handmade makeshift mask made of 100% cotton, made in Hamburg.
As an extra measure, it can help reduce the risk of other people getting a droplet infection from your coughing, sneezing, or speaking. It has no certification and has not been medically or otherwise tested.
The "Fitted Style" model can be optimally adapted to the face using size-adjustable rubber straps and a malleable wire over the bridge of the nose.
Please note the hygiene and usage instructions in order to better protect yourself and other people.
Due to health protection and hygiene, this article cannot be exchanged.
Wash the mask before using it for the first time at 60 ° C or boil it (5 minutes in a closed pot) ATTENTION: Fabric is hand-dyed and may therefore discolour. Please only wash with similar colors. If you boil it gently in the pot, the colors will stay longer.
Always wash your hands thoroughly before putting on and before and after removing the mask.
Pull the mask over your nose and mouth. Adjust the straps behind the ears and adjust the elastic length at the lower end (double knot!). Then adjust the retracted wire over the bridge of the nose so that the mask fits. The mask should lie as close as possible to the face, but not restrict it. It is normal for it to be a little harder to breathe with a mask than without. But shortness of breath should not arise! If in doubt, use a thinner mask or seek medical advice.
When removing, only touch the straps, never the area in front of your nose and mouth.
Place mask in a closed container until it is cleaned.
Care and hygiene instructions
After single use (at least once a day) wash at at least 60 ° C or boil in a closed saucepan for 5 minutes or iron with a steam iron.
NOTE: Frequent washing at high temperatures will stress the fabric and color. Thorough ironing with the steam iron offers a gentle alternative for daily use. Nevertheless, wash the mask regularly with detergent.
Why wear a mask?
Makeshift masks made of fabric are an additional measure that can supplement other protective measures against the spread of Corvid19 (wash your hands, observe coughing and sneezing etiquette, keep your distance, stay at home). It can help reduce the risk of getting a droplet infection from your coughing, sneezing, or speaking to other people.
Many people are already unknowingly infected but have no symptoms (yet). But they're still contagious. If you wear a mask in public and when you are in contact with people from risk groups, you protect other people - and if they also wear a mask, they protect you too.
Take care of each other and stay healthy!
