The fine, incomparable and highly aromatic Riesling grape
is known as the "Queen of the White Grape".
It is the jewel of the Saar-Mosel region and historically
one of the most important wines of the European wine-growing regions.
A tradition going back over 275 years has inspired us to do so
to produce a special version of our Ferdinand's Saar Quince.
Stored in 2017 Grand Cru Riesling Beerenauslese Barrique barrels
the Ferdinand's Quince Reserve combines traditional craftsmanship with fresh inspiration.
This special edition is strictly limited to 1200 bottles and
honors both the name and the legacy of the
Prussian forester Ferdinand Geltz (1851-1925).Depending on the type of glass, the multifaceted Quince Reserve presents itself
in a wide variety of aroma profiles. Use one
voluminous single malt glass dominates the multi-layered character
the Riesling barrel with its earthy oak notes and a hint
by noble sweet botrytis. You can enjoy the gin in a nosing glass
stand the aromas of fruits like bitter orange and quince,
but also honey in the foreground. Here the herbs and
Clear spice notes of our dry gin.
