- Item details
A pure brandy of wholly aromatic sloe
(Prunus spinosa) is one of the absolute treasures
among the wild fruit distillates.
The harvest of this small wild plum,
the stem form of all cultivated plum species,
is not only an extremely prickly (see "blackthorn"!),
but mostly a very cold matter,
After all, the fruits are only after the
first frosts harvested in the winter from the hedges.
In the case of the distillate described here
the tedious work of our sheep breeders friends
done from Buchheim, the Fritz family - with children!
For days they have the hedges of Buchheimer "Hählen"
edited, in case of frost, moisture and
the icy Heuberger wind!
That the effort is worthwhile in any case,
proves this gently distilled fire
native sloe, which has both the fine marzipan tones
of the sloe stone, as well as the wild fruitiness
this prune combined into a harmonious composition.
Schlehenbrände are due to the herrstellerischen
Expenditure an absolute rarity and a pronounced
Hobby for connoisseurs of fine wild-fruit distillates.
