The Stadtschloss Weimar has been a musical place for centuries. Art-loving regents and a culturally interested court community supported creativity in many forms, but music has always played a key role.
This tradition, which is associated with names such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Carl Friedrich Zelter, Franz Liszt or Richard Strauss, lives on today: For several years the Klassik Stiftung Weimar has succeeded with the concert series "Klingendes Schloss", historical rooms - some of them Among the most beautiful spatial creations of classicism in Germany include - musically to bring back to life.

Based on the music practice of the early 19th century, Caterina Maier (soprano), Thomas Stimmel (bass) and Liese Klahn (fortepiano) interpret songs with Goethe texts by Zelter, Eberwein and Schubert.
