Moccamaster coffee machines are popular worldwide and known as the best filter coffee machines in the world. Of course, this did not happen overnight. All Moccamaster coffee machines are still handmade in Holland as they were 45 years ago and every single coffee machine is individually tested by Technivorm.
For regularly smaller quantities (less than 10 cups) we recommend the KBG with glass jug because of the heat loss.
We recommend to preheat the thermos well. Then the coffee stays warm enough for up to 2 hours.
Why a Moccamaster coffee maker?
- Meets all requirements of the European Coffee Brewing Center
- High quality copper heating element
- Handmade - of the highest quality
- Very quiet and fast preparation
- Each individual coffee machine is individually checked
- Timeless design and high quality materials
- 5 years warranty
Why is the brewing temperature and brewing time so important?
At a temperature of 92 º - 96 º C, the solids are dissolved and the right flavor and aroma are extracted. This results in a good balance between sweetness and bitterness.
Why is the temperature so important after brewing?
The coffee tastes best at a temperature between 80 º - 85 º C. The coffee should not be further heated after the brewing process, as this will develop undesirable flavors. The coffee should not be kept warm for more than one hour after brewing.
Why is fresh coffee so important?
Ground coffee attracts air, taste and moisture. The fresher the grind, the better the coffee. It's a very short walk from the bean to the cup of filter coffee!
What is the right amount of coffee?
A Moccamaster measure spoon is 10 grams of coffee for 2 cups. For a full pot, you dose 5 measure spoon. For 4-6 cups we recommend more coffee powder.

The GLISS Caffee Group is a family business, founded by Michael Gliss, Germany's first coffee sommelier. In the mid-80s, he took his first steps in the world of coffee, when he lived in southern France and learned to love Mediterranean cuisine and wine. We import green coffee beans from the whole word and offer only our own roasts from one of the oldest organic roasting companies in Germany.
We want to show everyone that coffee is more than a "coffee pot with condensed milk".
Only fair and direct imports. The company is certified organic, a slow food supporter, and Michael Gliss serves as North Rhine-Westphalia's official honorary ambassador of regional agricultural and culinary heritage.
With an emphasis on professional expertise, individual single-origin coffees from the best growing areas along with exclusive varieties - such as "Jamaica Blue Mountain Grade No. 1" and "Hawaii Kona" - are offered directly from the coffee bins for individual weighing.
Michael Gliss strives to pass on his coffee experience to amateurs and professionals alike in coffee seminars and workshops held at the GLISS Caffee Contor or hosted on cruise ships, fairs and culinary events in many different countries.
The company also carries a selection of products which complement the coffee experience, such as filters, porcelain and decadent deserts. Worldwide shipping.
