Natracare uses rolled cotton wool made from long organic cotton fibers that gently absorb the menstrual blood and expand it in width. Cotton is soft, absorbent and does not dry out the protective mucous membrane of the vagina.
Many tampons, which have an additional synthetic fiber coating on their cotton, often also contain fragrances or even dyes. Dioxin, a toxic carcinogen, is the by-product of chlorine bleaching methods.
