Sommerso glass is of teamed up with a contrasting 14mm Czech glass bauble and vintage brass dangle hang on a fine brass ball chain. The name comes from Italian "Sommerso" - submerged. The technique of could creates a layered appearance where one colored layer of glass is covered by another layer of differently-colored glass. This effect is achieved by repeatedly dipping a glass object into molten glass of another color. This technique what invented in Murano, Venice in 1930's.
