This vineyard has been family owned for generations and at the same time the starting point of our young winery. For some decades, the grapes of this vineyard were sold, now we vinifizieren these grapes for the first time again and thus raise the "Phoenix from the ashes". The now well over 50-year-old facility is managed in the traditional single-pile education: the so-called Moselle heart, which also serves as a logo. It symbolizes tradition and regionality for us, without excluding innovation. As with all wines that we develop pure, this Riesling is also located in the dry area. In 2013, it was equipped with a luscious acid, which we deliberately left to support vintage typicity and longevity.
Store Information
Saarweingut Weber Brüder
Viticulture has been part of our family for many generations. For us brothers, it was our grandparents who brought us closer to the "passion of vineyard work" in our early years. After our successful oenology studies in Geisenheim, we filled our first wines in 2012 and are now proud to own three hectares of vineyards in and around Wiltingen an der Saar.
Working close to the ground in the vineyard and cellar is our first priority and underpins our motto: "less is sometimes more" :) For example, no herbicides are used in the vineyards, but small sheep grazing the area under the vines, the wines are fermented with natural yeasts and no deacidification takes place. This allows the preservation of the site- and vintage-specific terroir and allows it to appear beautifully in our wines.
