Details

This vineyard is in the possession of the family for generations, and at the same time the starting point of our young Winery. For several decades the grapes of this vineyard were sold, now we vinify those grapes themselves again for the first time and thus raise the "Phoenix from the ashes". The good today 50 years plant is cultivated in the traditional education of single pile: the so-called Mosel heart, which at the same time serves as a logo. It symbolizes tradition and regionality for us, without excluding innovation. For all wines we location in build from that, also this Riesling in the dry area located. 2013 is was equipped with a lush acidity that we deliberately have left, to support Jahrgangstypizität and longevity.

Store Information
Saarweingut Weber Brüder
Viticulture has been part of our family for many generations. For us brothers, it was our grandparents who brought us closer to the "passion of vineyard work" in our early years. After our successful oenology studies in Geisenheim, we filled our first wines in 2012 and are now proud to own three hectares of vineyards in and around Wiltingen an der Saar.
Working close to the ground in the vineyard and cellar is our first priority and underpins our motto: "less is sometimes more" :) For example, no herbicides are used in the vineyards, but small sheep grazing the area under the vines, the wines are fermented with natural yeasts and no deacidification takes place. This allows the preservation of the site- and vintage-specific terroir and allows it to appear beautifully in our wines.
