The salt marshes of Kampot are located in the south, on the coast of Cambodia. The Waters of the Gulf of Thailand in artificially constructed, shallow pools, which are called "salt gardens". Sun and wind increase the salt concentration until the salt crystallizes out on the ground.
The fine sea salt flower is the purest and most valuable art of sea salt. It forms only in high heat and air fear on the surface of the salt gardens to flower-shaped salt crystals. The reason for this is that the structure has to be harvested by hand with certain salt rakes. For each kilogram of sea salt flower 30 kilograms of conventional sea salt are produced.
The "Fleur de Sel Marine" from Kampot is a natural product, unwashed, unfilled and without additives. It contains a great deal of flavor, valuable magnesium, calcium and potassium. It tastes mild-salty and refines dishes and ingredients in a unique, complex and elegant way. The salt crystals can be quickly act on the taste of the ingredients.
In cold faith, the fragile structure of the sea salt flower appears as a fine crunch in the mouth, a real "salt experience" that tastes of "sea".
