The name “Enoé” is inspired on the Greek word “evoè”, which represents the shout that was used to evocate Dionysius, using tambourines and flutes.  Enoé – Nero d’Avola, was born from very rare grapes, grown following the “alberello”-pruning – a technique which keeps the vineyards from growing too tall. Its production is limited. Thanks to the continuous and moderate west winds, the level of humidity of the grapes is kept constant: this makes further treatments not necessary; this way, the scents of the fruit and of the wine itself are not modified. Ideal for red meat. To be served at 16 – 18°C Set of 6 bottles Fermentation: long maceration on marcs (leftovers from the grapes harvest)
Color: Ruby red with dark red reflections
Characteristics: dry and harmonious, with scents of licorice and blackberries. Its taste is solid and well balanced.
Each bottle is 0,75 L. Alcohol Content: 13,5% vol.

Casano Vini

Our fine winery was born in Gela, Sicily, in 1908. At the moment, Gela is still the location of our “Cantina” (wine cellar), where Giuseppe Casano keeps selecting the best grapes – keeping in mind the ancient traditions of his family.

He created different, limited editions brands. Under the names Enoè, Ismarico and Danila, he produces most of the best wines from Sicily, known worldwide: Nero d’Avola, Nero d’Avola Novello, Insolia Chardonnay, Nero d’Avola rosè or Cabernet Sauvignon.

Our vines are grown following the “alberello”-pruning – a technique which keeps the vineyards from growing too tall. They are located in the clayish lands of Gela that offer an ideal habitat due to their capability of holding the humidity. Licorice and wild berries contribute to give the grapes unique flavors. 

The manufacturing is done in a natural and manual way, as well as the collection of grapes: this way, it is possible to make an accurate selection of the single grapes.
