And who could justify better the quality, the claim and the price, as the manufacturers themselves?
"The maturation of the fresh distillate is initially done in new American White Oak, with a volume of 225 litres. We additionally use barrels, where previously Sherry, port or Sauternes was stored for the fifty-one. The fifty-one is a very special blend of the Slyrs range. Fifty-one refers to the alcoholic strength by volume of whisky. This composition is the big brother of our classic single malts by its strong, multi-layered nature. After the maturation in the upper Bavarian mountain climate setting cask strength is Distilation (51%) with mountain spring water. "Our Slyrs Bavarian single malt whisky fifty-one is dyed, nor cold filtered."
"The secret"composition"was from varying lengths stored Slyrs single malt whisky casks put together and gets its name because the full 51% vol." Alcohol content. An interesting information comes from the press release: "in their editions, the team uses the Slyrs distillery sustainably on authentic production: the best port wine cellars of the Douro Valley and the leading Bodega in Jerez deliver up to 50 years old, valuable barrels, in which the limited editions of Slyrs whisky mature." Up to 50-year-old barrels and not conditioned casks, grade once half a year containing sherry or port. Strange that the great Beuder of the otherwise classic three-year-old Slyrs must hide his age.
