The TESCH Rosé from the blue Pinot Noir grape is the little brother of DEEP BLUE - also typical Pinot Noir ! A bit more robust, significantly more color and full strawberry and raspberry aromas. An uncomplicated rosé wine for a cozy barbecue evening with spare ribs and corn on the cob.
Information about the winery: In the 10th generation, Dr. Martin Tesch has been running the winery since 1997. The biochemist who has a doctorate has prescribed a complete reorientation for the traditional company: The cultivation area has been almost halved, from approx. 30 ha to 16 ha, in order to focus on quality through his position-based thinking. Only the best locations are cultivated on which almost exclusively Riesling is grown: Rothenberg, Krone, Löhrer Berg, Königsschild, Karthäuser and St. Remigiusberg. In the meantime, the area under cultivation has grown back to around 20 hectares, and a small portion of Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir complete the range of vines.
Dr. Martin Tesch combines traditional artisanal viticulture (including everything purely hand-picked) with innovative approaches.
Against the trend he created z. B. with RIESLING UNPLUGGED® an absolutely puristic, fully fermented cult wine.
The fresh brand identity of the winery not only inspires customers. TESCH was the first winery ever to receive one of the coveted Red Dot Awards for its corporate design. He also made the screw cap socially acceptable.
Martin Tesch now has an international reputation and is one of the rockers among the winemakers, has a penchant for rock music and has already worked with the Toten Hosen. The Riesling Weißes Rauschen, made especially for the Hosen (since 2009), has now been released for the trade with the 2018 vintage (The Hosen are now making an old beer with Uerige). Unplugged Riesling has now achieved absolute world fame, for which a music playlist compiled by Martin Tesch is also available on Spotify.
In 2012, Dr. Martin Tesch voted winemaker of the year.
